Ceramics is in his DNA: Marthijn has been active in the industry since the age of seventeen. As a co-founder, he leads the family business, driven by innovation and an innate curiosity. For Marthijn, the customer experience is essential, whether online or in the showroom. He doesn’t just look at today; he always has a sharp eye on where the market is headed to ensure he adds true value.

His inspiration doesn’t stop at the office door. Marthijn loves to combine his passion for ceramics with his love for travel and exploration. He uses these fresh perspectives to constantly surprise and inspire his clients.

Pieter Mijnders

Commercial Director

With his boundless energy, Pieter is a vital link within our sales team. As Commercial Director, he combines his enthusiasm with a deeply customer-centric approach. He listens, collaborates, and ensures that clients always receive the best possible advice. For Pieter, a day is only successful when a client is truly satisfied.

When he’s not at work, he loves to hit the road on his bike to clear his head or enjoy the “Bourgondian” side of life with a fine glass of wine.

Marleen brings not only her expertise but also a generous dose of cheer to Pottery Direct. Always enthusiastic and a proud “Achterhoeker,” she combines her energy with a wonderful, down-to-earth mentality. As an account manager, she is straightforward and a dedicated partner our clients can truly count on.

Outside of work, she is the life of the party. Celebrating is in her blood: local traditions like the Zwarte Cross and Carnival are permanent fixtures on her calendar and are never missed. For vacations, she heads south to enjoy la dolce vita in her beloved Italy with her family.

Sandra Hogervorst

With her sparkling personality and boundless enthusiasm, Sandra is a fantastic asset to our sales team. As an Account Manager, she consistently inspires her clients and never shies away from a challenge. Sandra is a true multitasker who builds strong client relationships with great pleasure and infectious energy.

That same energy carries over into her personal life. “Sitting still” isn’t in her vocabulary; from high-intensity fitness sessions to rhythmic dance classes, Sandra is always on the move and enjoys a wide variety of hobbies. However, she finds her perfect balance in social connection, thoroughly enjoying quality time with her friends and family.

From procurement and sales to the logistical puzzle of transport: Rick is a true all-rounder. Thanks to his versatility, he switches between these disciplines effortlessly, ensuring everything runs like clockwork. A real go-getter who always keeps the big picture in mind.

After work, Rick is all about good company. A true “people person,” he loves sharing a great meal and a good glass of wine with friends. He’s not one to sit still either, and you’ll regularly find him on the football pitch.

Yannick is the creative eye of Pottery Direct. From sleek photography and brochure design to a complete showroom makeover: he takes it all in his stride. He effortlessly translates the latest trends to our website and socials, ensuring our visual identity is always rock solid.

Outside of office hours, he loves to dive into the kitchen to cook up a feast for a group of friends. While he thoroughly enjoys the atmosphere of a local Amsterdam café, he’s just as likely to be found out on a rugged hike to clear his head.

Aleida Oud

In the administration department, Aleida is a pillar of calm and precision. She ensures that everything behind the scenes is perfect down to the last detail and that administrative processes run seamlessly. An indispensable asset who always maintains a clear overview.

When she’s not at work, Aleida loves to head outdoors. A true nature lover, she recharges her batteries in the open air. Whether she’s lacing up her running shoes for a sporty challenge or enjoying a long walk with her family: she is completely in her element in the fresh outdoors.
